California ReLeaf is a statewide nonprofit organization, founded in 1989, with a mission to empower grassroots efforts and build strategic partnerships that preserve, protect, and enhance California’s urban and community forests. California ReLeaf distributes grants and provides resources for tree planting and tree care events, as well as environmental education programs focused on trees and urban forests. California ReLeaf also has teaching resources centered around California Arbor Week (March 7-14) that are geared toward 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
