A Member-at-Large of the section council of the Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education may:
Bring expertise and perspective to AEOE in non-traditional areas such as classroom teaching, nature centers, day programs, higher education and agencies.
Provide personal expertise in management of the organization.
Serve in an important capacity which isn't an official council
position, such as committee chair, consultant, liaison to other organizations,
major conference planner, etc.
They may also just be interested in helping the council in general.
Be an active, voting member of the Section Council, participate in discussions, attend section council meetings, and vote on issues.
Attend at least 2/3 of the section Council meetings during the year. These include the Fall conference and Spring conference, and other meetings as scheduled.
Note: The section Member-at-Large is an appointed position (Article VIII, Section G through I and L). The Member-at-Large serves at the pleasure of the section Council.
