Do you have special skills or knowledge that would inspire others? Have you been teaching for a while and would like to share some trade secrets? Have you just started your career, but have a passion for a particular subject you'd love to share with others? The best way to learn something is to teach it to others - is there something you want to lean more about yourself? Then be a presenter at AEOE’s Southern Fall Conference Campout at Joshua Tree National Park November 10-12, 2006

AEOE Conferences are great because our members make them that way. The Council only helps organize a time and place where YOU, the members, can gather and share your enthusiasm and passion for our field. Help make this year's conference another great one - sign up to present a workshop!

AEOE Conference Presenter Application

Please submit the completed online application below if you would like to present a workshop. You must also register for the conference, even though workshop presenters get in free.

Please adhere to the following workshop guidelines:

  1. Emphasize hands-on participation if possible.
  2. This is a camping conference - there are no facilities for audio-visuals, there is no electricity, and there is no water in the campsite area. There are open flat areas of sand, such as the road, available for activities, some picnic tables, and granite boulders.
  3. Presentations will take place outdoors, regardless of weather.
  4. Field trips are an option, with car caravans, if you would like to lead one (for example, to Big Morongo Preserve for Birding, or to Pioneertown for Fire Ecology/Fire effects)
  5. One and 1/2 hour length for workshops (15 minutes between Saturday morning workshops for set up and transition). Double sessions must be Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon timeslot has most "wiggle room" for a bit longer workshop, as there is free time afterwards.
