We use Type 2+ filters from Thousand Oaks Optical (www.thousandoaksoptical.com)
You need special filters that focus on particular emission lines; most focus
on the hydrogen-a line.
We use an off-axis pre-filter with a T-Scanner or ATM-type hydrogen-a filter
from DayStar Corp. These unfortunately cost thousands of dollars. There
is a relatively inexpensive ($500) solar telescope called the Personal Solar
Telescope sold by Coronado (www.coronadofilters.com)
