You must postmark your application and registration by the early registration deadline of 4/2 to qualify.
The Site: Camp Hess Kramer is right near the beach in Malibu, just up Pacific Coast Highway from Leo Carrillo State Beach, with some of the best tide-pooling around. It is also just up the hill from County Line, a world-famous surf spot–so surfers, bring your boards for some between workshop waves! The ecosystem is primarily coastal sage scrub with a riparian area running right through the campus. In April, the wildflowers should be beautiful, the weather perfect, the scent of sage and salt in the air, gentle breezes in the sycamores along the creek–sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? See you there! See "Getting There" for directions and map.
Housing: Included in the basic conference cost, housing is typical camp dorm style with no bedding provided. Most cabins are about a 10 minute walk from the main dining hall area, but you can drive in to drop off your things and park. Bring a sheet or blanket and sleeping bag and pillow. Earplugs are a plus if someone in your cabin snores!
Camping is on flat open lawn areas close to the dining hall–some areas with ocean views near the path to the beach. Bring a tent, but cooking on site is not allowed.
Premium motel-style housing is available in the conference center adjacent to the dining hall for an extra charge:
Private motel-style rooms with twin beds, bedding provided,
Private bath: $125 for 1 person, $105 each for two (four of these rooms have queen beds)
Shared bath: $80 for 1 person, $55 each for two (one of these rooms has a queen bed)
(Sign up and pay for this extra charge on the registration form)
Meals: Most meals will be served family style. Menus are mostly vegetarian with vegan options. (In keeping with AEOE's mission to "seek the development of a personal ethic appropriate to the enhancement of environmental quality," we are serving food with less impact on the environment.) Organic coffee, teas, and other beverages & snacks will also be available in the dining room. Bring your own reusable mug, or you can buy an AEOE mug at the conference. Day users will not be allowed in the dining room during meals.
Transportation: Need a ride? Can you give a ride? Need airport or flight information, an airport pickup, or looking to carpool with someone? Contact Laura “Leaf” Vandezande, our transportation coordinator, to find out more about transportation options. We may be able to arrange rides to pick up people from the airport if you work it out in advance: or 909-585-4285
Parking: Parking is very limited and we strongly encourage carpooling! To encourage you further, there will be a $5 parking fee (the money will go to help fund future scholarships), which will be waived if you carpool with at least 3 people per vehicle. Pay parking fee at registration.

at the Job Fair Saturday afternoon. Programs will have representatives

credit cards, but AEOE does not.
