
Description: EBRPD seeks an individual to represent
the EBRPD in public education programs. Duties include: research, develop,
and conduct interpretive programs for school groups and the general public
in the fields of environmental
education,
natural and cultural history and resource protection; prepare and give
out-of-District talks and presentations on natural science/cultural subjects;
and coordinate,
or assist the Supervising Naturalist in coordinating District special commemorative
days and events.
The regular, full-time vacancy is at Tilden Nature Area, Berkeley, CA. There are also two temporary vacancies. One starts as soon as possible and is located at Black Diamond Mines, Antioch, CA; the second starts this summer for the Mobile Fish Exhibit.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with major work in natural science, cultural history, or other suitably related field, plus 2 years of recent field experience in comprehensive interpretive work.
Salary: $4,250 - $4,882/month
