
Program Description: “Keep Tahoe Kind” is being expanded for outreach to seasonal residents and visitors of the Greater Lake Tahoe Basin. The information and activity program is conducted in schools, at special events and activities in collaboration with other wildlife and environmental advocacy groups. An interactive web site is to be developed as a portal and resource for those interested in the Tahoe area.
Job Description: Reporting to the Executive Director, the HEE Manager plans, organizes and implements programs with outreach to youth, teachers, general public, social service agencies and environmental groups of the Greater Lake Tahoe Basin. The focus is promotion of compassion and respect for domestic and wild animals and protection and preservation of our shared habitat. This is an opportunity to help create an innovative and broad humane education program in one of the most beautiful, four season recreation areas in the country. South Lake Tahoe is located in the Sierra Mountains, between San Francisco, California and Reno, Nevada.
