Adventure Education Internship

Description: Lead 7th-12th grade students in outdoor adventure activities in our LAIR academy (Life's Adventures Involving Risk). Activities include mountain biking, kayaking, high/low ropes courses and rock climbing. Ocassional work with elementary students. The goal of this program is to build leadership skills, confidence and teamwork in youth. Full-time, may include evening hours and infrequent weekend hours. No overnight supervision of students required. Additional duties may include site maintenance, equipment/gear maintenance, and/or administrative projects.

Qualifications: Must have current First Aid/CPR (WFA/WFR preferred), lifeguard certification beneficial. Prior experience working with youth and in adventure sports desirable. College degree or upper-division coursework required - preferably in education, natural sciences, outdoor recreation or related fields. Must have a valid driver's license, Class B preferred.

Salary: $56/ day
Benefits: Worker's comp, health care fund
Housing: full-time (shared)
Board: while program is in session
