Each issue of the northern and southern newsletters has both unique information and routine content that repeats every year. This list will provide you with guidance about "when will I see that info for this year?" as well as knowing when to provide your information to the newsletter editors. Actual submission deadline will be announced in the preceding issue.
Fall Issue
Deadline: about September 1
Postmark: no later than 30 days before section's fall conference
Postmark: work with conference committee, webmaster and newsletter
editor of other section on deadlines - usually late February or
early March
- try to send out both newsletters at the same time.
Articles promoting conference (most of this newsletter is usually dedicated
to the Spring Conference)

Spring conference registration packet with workshop list (this may be
a separate mailing, or a separate packet mailed with the newsletter).
If you agree to do the registration packet (a lot of work!), refer
to templates for registration forms and previous packets, on the
Conference Coordination
pages for help.
Calendar of events (as appropriate
for section, including dates through next issue, being sure
to include AEOE events such as conferences and outings, as far in
advance as known)
Deadline for article submissions for next newsletter
Summary of state and section board actions and activities
Word from the Chair (usually includes above)
Articles of interest to outdoor environmental educators. For example,
natural history, lesson ideas, book reviews, science songs, games,
resources, field trips, professional development opportunities, legislation
of interest, etc. See past newsletters for examples.
