February 25-27, 2005: 4th Annual Colorado River Canoe Cruise and Hot Spring Tour

Relaxing weekend The Colorado River Hot springs soothe my soul

This amazing canoe trip is filled with beauty, outstanding hot springs, wildlife sightings, and fun company! We will be camping at the Boulder Beach campground at Lake Mead on Friday night. Saturday we will be launching from Hoover Dam, camping along the river Saturday night, and finishing the trip on Sunday afternoon.

Fall in love with the Colorado River on our special canoe cruise weekend! You must be a current AEOE member to participate, but remember a year membership in AEOE is only $15.

What: We will be cruising down Black Canyon, a beautiful 10 mile stretch of the Colorado River starting at the base of Hoover Dam, filled with amazing hot springs to explore, a sauna cave, and the opportunity to see wildlife such as bighorn sheep, owls, coyotes, and many bird species!

Itinerary:

• Friday Night, Feb. 25: camp at Boulder Beach Campground at Lake Mead.
• Saturday, Feb. 26: Meet at 8:00 to get our canoes/get a ride down to launch area. Spend a full day exploring the river’s side canyons and hot springs. Sat. night we will camp along the river.
• Sunday, Feb. 27: Continue along the river and get picked up at Willow Beach by early afternoon.

Bring: Camping gear, food, plenty of water, enthusiasm, and spirit of adventure!

Cost: Approximately $55, includes camping Friday, canoe rentals, shuttle to and from river.
