Come enjoy desert wildflowers, breathtaking scenery, quirky Joshua trees, beautiful granite boulders and the company of fellow AEOE members during an amazing weekend in the Wildlands Conservancy's Pipes Canyon Preserve. A short walk up Pipes Canyon leads to a creek lined with willows and cottonwoods, amid slopes with Joshua trees, pinyon pines, manzanita and scrub oaks. We are one of the first groups to be allowed camping access to this special preserve - take advantage of this great opportunity in one of the best wildflower seasons ever!

"Pipes Canyon Preserve is the headquarters for management of more than 40 square miles of land owned by The Wildlands Conservancy in the southern end of the San Bernardino Mountains. These strategic properties include "missing links" that create wildlife corridors and public hiking routes between the San Bernardino, San Jacinto, and Big Horn Mountains; Joshua Tree National Park and San Gorgonio Wilderness Areas. Collectively, this is known as our Sand to Snow Project. Headquarters for the preserve is located at the mouth of Pipes Canyon in Pioneertown. A short walk up Pipes Canyon will take visitors to a creek lined with willows and cottonwoods, amid slopes with Joshua trees, pinyon pines, manzanita and scrub oaks."
