Join us for another great adventure down the
Black Canyon section of the Colorado River! We will be camping Friday night
at Lake Mead, then we will head down
the river Saturday morning and be picked up Sunday around 2:00pm. Spaces
are limited - sign up before February 3rd to
reserve a spot!
What to expect:
Beautiful hot springs -requires moderate to
strenuous hiking/scrambling
Calm canoeing -11 miles downstream
Wildlife sightings – in the past
we’ve seen double crested cormorants,
a peregrine falcon, bighorn sheep and many more!
Fun company with great people
-share stories and songs at a campfire Saturday night!
Cost includes camping Friday,
canoe rentals, shuttle to and from river.
Weather: typically sunny during the days with cool temperatures
at night
Bring:
Camping gear
Food (bring your own for all meals, plus something to share for the potluck
Saturday night)
Water shoes
Dry bags or large garbage bags to keep your things dry
