Be Water Wise - Ways to save water, including gardening tips. Aimed at Southern California, but useful information for anywhere.

California Aquatic Science Education Consortium (CASEC) - Five thematic water resource educational activity manuals, available both in English and in Spanish.

The Classroom Aquarium Education Project - Offered statewide in partnership with regionally-based community organizations. Instructors and their students set up an aquarium in the classroom, receive fish eggs from the Department of Fish and Game, and observe the fish as they hatch and develop.  The experience may culminate in a field trip to a local stream or river where the fish are released.  This is a hands-on, interdisciplinary project for grades K-12.

The Groundwater Foundation - Provides a resource library of hands-on, water-related educational activities, ranging from curriculum guides to individual activities.

River of Words - An annual, international youth poetry and art contest, inspiring students  them to incorporate observation-based nature exploration and the arts into their work with young people. 

Save the Bay - Water-related teaching resources and curricula. 

Water Cycle - Information on the water cycle, from the US Geological Survey.

Water Science for Schools - The U.S. Geological Survey’s  Water Science for Schools web site offers information on many aspects of water, along with pictures, data, maps, and an interactive center where you can give opinions and test your water knowledge.

World Water Monitoring Day - An international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.
