The Classroom Aquarium Education Project - Offered statewide in partnership with regionally-based community organizations. Instructors and their students set up an aquarium in the classroom, receive fish eggs from the Department of Fish and Game, and observe the fish as they hatch and develop. The experience may culminate in a field trip to a local stream or river where the fish are released. This is a hands-on, interdisciplinary project for grades K-12.

World Water Monitoring Day - An international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.
