    Message # 12158656

    Who We Are:

NatureBridge provides environmental science education experiences for more than 30,000 students and their teachers every year in the world’s best classrooms: our National Parks. Our mission is to connect young people to the science and wonder of the natural world, igniting self-discovery, and inspiring stewardship of the planet.

    What You Will Do:

You will report to the Director of Individual Giving and support them in sustaining and growing a strong base of individual funders to support NatureBridge campuses and initiatives.  You will partner with and manage campus directors at our Golden Gate and Mid Atlantic Campuses on fundraising initiatives. You will also work with Regional Board members, and the development team to generate contributed revenue through individual and major donors.

This position is fully remote. We have a preference for applicants located in the San Francisco Bay Area. There will be occasional travel to support fundraising events and meetings.

Your primary job will be to:

    • Cultivate our portfolio of existing donors and identify new donors to grow our portfolio over time.

    • Develop relationships with assigned donors and prospects through in-person & virtual meetings, as well as written communication.

    • Establish and maintain respectful, supportive and compassionate relationships with staff, volunteers and participants.

    • Manage and support Regional Board members and Campus Directors in fundraising activity through all aspects of the gift cycle.

    • Manage small cultivation and stewardship events; assist with national fundraising events as necessary.

    • Use and maintain Raiser’s Edge database for major donor portfolio management, tracking, cultivation, recognition, and accountability; make recommendations for improvement to our systems based on best practices.

    • Partner with the Development Team to create a culture of philanthropy that emphasizes excellent relationship building to raise high-end annual support and major gifts.

    • Create proposals and other collateral and prioritize solicitations.

    • Contribute to board reports and represent the development team at board meetings.

    Compensation:

    • $62,000 - $70,000, dependent on location and experience

    • Full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid vacation and sick leave.

    Who You Are:

We are looking for candidates who have:

    • Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to manage competing or shifting priorities

    • At least three years of work in professional fundraising roles, and experience supporting individual giving at a successful non-profit

    • Knowledge of national philanthropic trends & best practices

    • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different departments

    • A growth mindset for themselves and others

    • The ability to write clearly and effectively for multiple audiences and stakeholders, including donors, board members, and staff

    • A commitment to NatureBridge’s mission and vision

    • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in non-profit development, and creating positive community work culture. We especially encourage you to apply if you have lived experience as a member of (or extensive experience working with people from) any communities that are impacted by the historic and current system of oppression that has limited access to environmental education, or the outdoors in general

    • The ability to efficiently manage a donor database system

    • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office applications

*All NatureBridge Employees are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Final shot must occur 15 days or more before the start date. Here is the link to our full policy: NatureBridge COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You must also pass a background check in order to be eligible for employment.

Why should you join the NatureBridge team?

    • We are a mission-driven organization that values your contributions and supports you in making a positive impact on youth and the environment

    • You will work with a fun and creative team that supports your professional growth

    • Work remotely in a flexible, collaborative and supportive environment, with occasional travel to our scenic National Park campuses and major donor hubs

Submit your application to our Online Career Portal. Your application must include:

    • Resume and three references.
