    Pathfinder Ranch is a non-profit center offering outdoor education and summer camp programming in addition to retreat and conference hosting. Located in the mountains above Palm Springs California, the site operates year-round offering a variety of employment opportunities including seasonal, year-round, part-time, and full-time employment with tasks focused on programming, facilities, grounds, food service, health care, and administration.

    Summary of Duties: The Outdoor Education Manager is responsible for the development and operational management the Outdoor Education Program. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to: 

    • Build and maintain a consistent outdoor education client base
    • Recruit, select, train, evaluate, schedule and manage personnel
    • Create new curriculum based on current state education standards
    • Evaluate programs and resources
    • Aid in creating and maintain budgets
    • Promote the security and safety of camp grounds, facilities, and program equipment associated with programs
    • Create and coordinate daily and seasonal program schedules
    • Coordinate with other departments in program planning
    • Develop and coordinate new programs and special events

    Work Schedule: Primarily Monday – Friday (some evenings, weekends)

    Compensation: $19.00-$22.00/hr, housing, paid time off, 5 paid holidays, health insurance, meals, and 401k option (after 1 year).
