    Pathfinder Ranch is a non-profit center offering outdoor education and summer camp programming in addition to retreat and conference hosting. Located in the mountains above Palm Springs California, the site operates year-round offering a variety of employment opportunities including seasonal, year-round, part-time, and full-time employment with tasks focused on programming, facilities, grounds, food service, health care, and administration.

    Summary of Duties: The Health Services Coordinator provides and oversees health services for outdoor education groups, assists with program and policy development, and assists with other program administration as needed. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to: 

    • Serve as the medical liaison between Pathfinder Ranch and clients
    • Provide medical care to clients and Ranch employees as needed
    • Maintain accurate medical records and logs
    • Ensure compliance with camp policies, accreditation standards, and health and safety codes
    • Continuously evaluate health and safety policies and procedures and provide feedback to the Program Manager for potential changes to manuals and staff trainings
    • Help train and monitor other program employees to ensure adherence of policies and procedures
    • Aid in the development and enforcement of risk management procedures
    • Create a medical supply budget, maintain/organize the supplies, and submit supply requests to the Program Manager
    • Assist with emergency response procedures in case of an alarm or other emergency

    Work Schedule: Primarily Monday – Friday (some evenings, weekends)

    Compensation: $640-$760/wk, housing, paid time off, health insurance option (if working year-round), meals, and 401k option (after 1 year).
