    The San Diego County Office of Education's is seeking a highly motivated, caring professional to join us as a Health Services Technician at the original 6th Grade Camp, Cuyamaca Outdoor School. The residential outdoor education program, in operation since 1946, is located an hour east of San Diego in the 25,000-acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, elevation 4,000 feet. We connect children to science through nature in a weeklong, hands-on, outdoor education experience. Our Health Services team is outgoing, hard-working, energetic, and has a genuine desire to make a positive difference in children’s lives.

    Qualifications:

    • A combination of training and experience providing direct health care services or emergency medical assistance
    • Demonstrates a positive attitude, adaptable personality, and strong work ethic
    • Strong organization and communication skills, both oral and written

    Certificate Requirements:

    One of the following must be attached to the online application

    • A current American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification with AED Certification, OR
    • Emergency First Responder Certificate, OR
    • EMT I or EMT II Certificate, OR
    • Other certification determined to be equivalent by SDCOE

    Position Details

    $24.57- 31.36 hourly rate pay range, plus a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, sick leave, paid holidays, pension, and more; 10-month work calendar; meals provided during program; schedule varies Monday through Friday; on-site housing available.
