Do you want a better approach to teaching climate science with your participants? Join Greg Ira, Director of UC Environmental Stewards, for a webinar exploring how we can address the climate crisis through community and ecosystem resilience.

CalEnviroscreen lists 794 census tracts in the top 10% of vulnerable communities, representing over 3 million individuals. Unfortunately, most climate education programs lack the most successful climate education strategy to reach them: a focus on personally-relevant, meaningful information (Monroe et al. 2017). The majority of climate change education efforts lack balance between foundational concepts and locally, culturally meaningful content. This workshop focuses on key practices that move educators beyond the doom and gloom and will help drive more effective climate change education at all levels. Special emphasis will be placed on approaches that advance local community and ecosystem resilience.

Offered in partnership by AEOE and UCANR's Climate Stewards Initiative
