Hailing originally from Montreal, Dr. Simon Beames is Professor of Friluftsliv at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences in Oslo, Norway. He has been teaching outdoors for over 30 years, predominantly in Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. He is co-author of the books, Adventurous Learning, Adventure & Society, and Outdoor Learning across the Curriculum, and co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Mobile Technology, Social Media and the Outdoors.

Join Simon as he shares from the practical and engaging chapters of his new book, containing aims, case studies, and guidelines for practice, providing you with the tools to integrate outdoor learning into your daily timetable. Outdoor Learning Across the Curriculum outlines the theory and practice to enable preservice and experienced educators from K – 12  to systematically incorporate meaningful outdoor learning opportunities into their daily teaching activities, in a range of environments and with diverse groups of students.
