Become a member and receive our quarterly e-newsletter, access to all of our conferences and events, unlimited job posting for Institutional Members, and rest easy knowing that your membership supports an organization committed to supporting and inspiring educators in their quest to help all learners understand, appreciate, and care for their environment.
AEOE offers a variety of membership levels for individuals and an Institutional Membership for organizations:
Intern/Full Time Student – $15/year
This individual membership level is for all of you who are in environmental education positions that are not necessarily highly compensated monetarily (volunteers, interns, students, retirees, etc.).
Basic – $20/year
The basic membership is for individuals who are working in the environmental and/or outdoor education field, teachers, docents, volunteers, and anyone else interested in the EE/OE field.
Contributing Individual Membership – $35+/year
For those who are professionals in our field, we encourage you to support your organization by joining at the contributing level.
Life Individual Membership – $200
If you are planning on staying involved with AEOE for a few years, you may want to consider a life membership at $200 and never have to worry about paying your dues again! (Note that life memberships are available only to individuals, not organizations)
Institutional – $105/year
Institutional memberships help support the work of AEOE. Benefits include free unlimited job postings, free publicity for your program on our Institutional Members Directory page, participation in Conference Job Fairs/Meet n' Greets, and a quarterly e-newsletter while membership is current. This level may also include a discount on the statewide spring conference registration for your current employees. The Institutional Membership is for organizations/ programs only. The Institutional Membership includes one complimentary individual membership for the contact person of the organization; this is non-transferable unless the contact person is no longer an employee. All other employees participating in AEOE events must have their own individual memberships and register for events through their own accounts.
We value all environmental educators and encourage individuals who need financial assistance in order to participate in AEOE activities to apply for a scholarship. Scholarships are offered through the Joie’s Daisies Scholarship Fund (in memory of Joie Armstrong) for the statewide spring conference. Also consider presenting a workshop at the conference to reduce your conference fees. (Donations to the Joie’s Daisies Scholarship Fund are always welcome!)
