Does your office window have a view of the snowy Sierra Nevada's or a view of a pristine mountain lake? The Lead Utility cook at Sky Mountain Outdoor Educational Center does! We are looking for a leader in the kitchen. The Lead Utility Cook performs a variety of food preparation duties such as: menu planning, ordering, preparing, and cooking meals for large groups, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.

    Lead Utility Cook ($4,479.00 - $5,441.00/Monthly)

Join our team and enjoy the snow! Our kitchen staff is an essential part of Sky Mountain Outdoor Education Center. The kitchen team is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals to the hungry guests who have worked up an appetite from exploring the outdoors. Cooks are sure to enjoy the view of lake from the lodge and are encouraged to join the campfire when their schedules allow!

    Utility Cook ($3,641.00-$4,423.00/Monthly)

Located 25 minutes west of Truckee, northwest of Lake Tahoe, CA, Sky Mountain is a residential outdoor science school, primarily serving 5th and 6th grade students for 3-5 day stays. On weekends and throughout the summer, we also are available for private groups. We are currently looking for a Lead Utility Cook (kitchen manager) and regular utility cooks to assist. Both are full time, year-round positions and offer benefits. Between staff, students, and the chaperones, we plan on having between 120 to 240 people at the camp at a time. Housing is not provided, but we can provide a bed during inclement weather.

    Questions? Erik Forsman, Principal 209.687.3223,
