    $17.49 to $19.32 per hour
    30-40 hours per week, November 17-June 30 with possibility of season extension

    Position Description and Duties:
    This position will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of managing the interpretive programs, including: creating, scheduling, advertising, and implementing monthly programs for visitors. This position will support the facilitation of virtual interpretive programs as needed. During the guided walk season, this person will work alongside the Interpreter I in the field to coordinate the guided seal walk programs by scheduling docents, coordinating the Equal Access Program, and assisting the park aides as needed. This position will facilitate social media content for the park and support management of the docent training website. This position will work under the supervision of the District Interpreter III, and the general direction of the Año Nuevo State Park Interpreter I within the docent coordination office.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Must be enthusiastic, organized, responsible, appreciate the outdoors, and enjoy working with children and adults. Applicant should be able to communicate well and work as part of a team. Knowledge of California’s natural and cultural history, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Google Suite is desired.
