Vida Verde has a long history of achieving remarkable results through high-quality programs delivered free of charge for 4th -6th grade students. Students interact in the outdoors with their peers and teachers, and they engage in activities meant to nurture positive interpersonal connections, instill a sense of belonging and connection to the natural world, and offer exposure to new and exciting environments and ideas. Vida Verde’s programs serve historically marginalized populations and are free for all participants and schools.
Position details:
The instructor position is well suited for folks with experience in outdoor education, classroom teaching and/or engaging and supporting low-income and students of color. We are looking for someone who wants to be challenged and work hard towards educational equity and who can handle a lot of responsibility and details. The position is best suited for a driven, positive and independent worker.
The Instructors deliver programming for our 3-day camps, which run every Tues-Thursday throughout the school year. The camps serve one classroom at a time, for 3 days and two nights. In addition, Instructors participate in camp caretaker tasks, weekly professional development workshops, and other organization activities.

Compensation:
1st year rate is $20/hour INCLUDES: Housing, 6 meals/week, health and dental benefits, retirement contributions, pro deals, some community food from the farm and access to beautiful land and hot tub.
