Thriving in the Outdoors: Social and Emotional Learning in Nature

Learn ways to improve your practice and deepen your understanding of how to support social and emotional development in nature-based programming while networking with your peers. 

Keynote speaker: Deb Moroney, American Institutes for Research, a leading champion of youth development

The agenda includes a morning field experience in small groups (including a session for early childhood educators) and afternoon workshops offered on a variety of topics focused on enhancing SEL in your program. Facilitators include leaders from NatureBridgethe Student Conservation AssociationOutward Bound, and BEETLES. 

This workshop is for:

  • Program managers and directors seeking to improve organizational culture and better support staff in delivering impactful programs
  • Instructors wanting to improve their practice and learn how to develop young people’s social & emotional skills
  • Youth development professionals who are interested in using natural settings to enhance their programming

Join us at NatureBridge's Golden Gate Campus in Sausalito for a day of hands-on learning, networking, and fun!
