    SALARY RANGE:

    $66,560-$79,843 annually (full-time exempt)

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Outdoor Programs Director will help achieve our vision by providing leadership and management of Environmental Education and Climate Justice work of the YMCA of San Francisco. This includes our school year environmental education programs (Earth Service Corps, Youth Service Corps), and summer nature engagement programming (Y Rangers and BOLD & GOLD). Additionally, the Outdoor Programs Director will be the primary driver for all programming and grant management associated with the Outdoor Equity Programs grant.

    The Outdoor Programs Director will be a leader on the Presidio YMCA leadership team and support community events. Additionally, this role will be active on YMCA of San Francisco service line teams for Teens, Nature Engagement, and additional YSF groups.  

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum age 21 years
    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional and community experience required
    • 3 years of experience involving environmental education, summer camps, youth development, recreation and leisure, and family activities, which can include developing, implementing and evaluating programs
    • 2 years supervisory experience
    • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • Strong computer skills
    • YMCA approved CPR/First Aid certification

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous experience with building and maintaining budgets.
    • Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin language skills
