Summer Camp Instructor - Inyo County Office of Education

    Location: Big Pine, CA

    Pay: $200-$250 per day (Total: $3400 for all of Camp)

    We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Instructors for an exciting adventure-based program.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and lead engaging outdoor activities and adventures for middle school and high school students.
    • Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
    • Serve as a mentor and role model for campers and high school counselors, providing guidance and encouragement.
    • Develop and implement week-long adventure programs tailored to the interests and abilities of participants.
    • Ensure the well-being of campers at all times, including during off-site excursions and overnight trips.
    • Collaborate with fellow instructors and camp staff to coordinate logistics and program activities.

    Requirements:

    • Passion for working with children and adolescents.
    • Current CPR and AED certification.
    • Some experience working outdoors and leading recreational activities.
    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing innovative programming.
    • Ability to stay on campus each night that students are present. Staff are provided shared housing on campus, private bedroom, shared bath and kitchen with other instructors. Staff are provided meals during camp and housing during Training and Camp.
