Position Summary: 

• Rising Oak Nature Education seeks an experienced, collaborative, passionate and flexible educator for an entirely outdoor cohort.

• The educator is responsible for managing the application of an age-appropriate, nature-based curriculum for 5-12 year olds enrolled in RONE.

• Model a healthy relationship with and curiosity for the natural world.

• Understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment.

• Emphasis on math and writing instruction.

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Degree/certificate in Education; Bachelors degree with teaching experience

• Minimum 5 years teaching experience preferred, 1-2 years minimum 

• Certified CPR and basic first aid or willing to obtain certification

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Passionate about nature-based, progressive education

• Comfortable working with children with differing developmental needs 

• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

• Flexible, collaborative mindset - must be willing to pivot and go with the flow

• Warm and caring personality - friendly and approachable to children and families

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage commensurate with experience. 

• Potential to expand into a full-time position.
