    • We are excited to share an opportunity that may interest those who are passionate about environmental science and outdoor learning. This is a great opportunity for students who are graduating this year or may be taking a gap year. The internship runs for the next school year (August 2025 to June 2026).

      The Clemmie Gill School of Science and Conservation (SCICON) run by the Tulare County Office of Education (Springville, Tulare County, California) is offering fifteen (15) Paid Intern positions that promise a unique blend of teaching and outdoor experience in the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains and Sequoia National Forest. This role is not just a job, but a chance to engage with nature and contribute to environmental stewardship while working with a diverse, international team. 

      Benefits:

    • $128 per day stipend (8 Hour Day)
    • FREE room and board, including housing, food, utilities (electric, gas, water, etc.), and Wi-Fi.
    • Health insurance
    • CPR/First Aid Certification on-site

    • Key Highlights of the Position:

    • Instructors will engage with live animals, explore geology and aquatic environments, and contribute to our Raptor Center and Natural Resources programs.
    • Educators will develop their teaching skills by instructing students in outdoor science concepts and leading nature trail hikes.
    • Additional responsibilities include teaching in specialized facilities like our museum, observatory, planetarium, and raptor center, and leading large group activities such as singing, folk dancing, and campfire sessions.
