Camp Program Specialist - General Specialist

YMCA Camp Jones Gulch, La Honda, CA

$616/week, shared housing & food for duration

May 26th-August 8th, with pre- and post-camp options available on a limited basis

Camp Jones Gulch is looking for summer program staff to facilitate programming including: archery, arts & crafts, outdoor cooking, outdoor education, gardening, slingshots, canoeing, and more! Paid training will be provided.

This is a dynamic team role that works closely with Cabin Leaders to create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable camp environment. This role involves living in a cabin with campers and fellow staff while facilitating specialized activities such as archery, arts & crafts, outdoor education, outdoor cooking, canoeing, and more! Program Specialists will be trained in facilitating most, if not all, program areas.

Responsibilities also include collaborating with Cabin Leaders to support camper well-being, setting up and breaking down program areas, assisting with evening programs, and providing additional cabin support as needed.

Program Specialists live in a cabin shared with other specialists, and may also be assigned to a camper cabin during high occupancy weeks.

Specialist training will begin on May 26th, 2025.
