    The Chino Basin Water Conservation District located in Montclair, CA is currently accepting applications for an enthusiastic, creative professional who is passionate about environmental education & water conservation!

    The Community Engagement Specialist I/II (CES I/II) position assists and/or leads in the development and implementation of public outreach/relations, educational programs, and media relations projects and activities for the department under the direction of the Community Engagement Manager.

    The Community Engagement Department provides youth education programs, hosts community events, and promotes the district’s programs and resources to raise public awareness of the Chino Groundwater Basin to help residents protect, value, and use water wisely.

    COMPENSATION

    The position offers a competitive salary with a highly attractive benefits package. This is an hourly/non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate based on the competitive labor market and the successful candidate’s qualifications. Some additional CBWCD benefits include: retirement benefits through CalPERS, health insurance coverage up to $2,431.47 per month, and 14 paid holidays.

    The salary range for the positions are:

    CES I: $31.65 - $41.53

    CES II $35.81 - $46.99 per hour

    3% COLA effective January 1, 2026

    Position placement will depend on experience and qualifications.
