What You Will Do:
The Director of People and Culture (DPC) is responsible for leading the Human Resources (HR) function for a four-site, $22 million non-profit organization employing approximately 200 team members in multiple states.
As the DPC, you will develop and implement HR strategies and practices that support Naturebridge’s organizational objectives. You will also oversee all aspects of HR management and ensure that those systems effectively contribute to attracting, retaining and developing a high-performing, productive workforce that is focused on NatureBridge’s mission and delivery of our programs.
You will also supervise an HR team of three full-time staff.
This position is fully remote with regular travel to our four campuses nationwide. We have a strong preference for a candidate in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Your primary job will be:
People Leadership and Culture

Develop and implement NatureBridge’s long-term people strategy, in partnership with senior management, focusing on:

Design and implement HR systems, policies and best practices that enable team members to develop, succeed and advance NatureBridge’s mission.

Partner with and serve as staff lead to the Board of Directors’ Human Capital Committee to establish HR objectives and human capital organizational goals that align with NatureBridge’s programmatic and business goals.

Develop, lead and support NatureBridge’s equity, inclusion and diversity philosophy, practices and goals.

Devise and drive talent and professional development strategies and practices to attract, develop and retain a high-performing and thriving workforce.

Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards compensation strategy that aligns with the organization’s values and financial strategy.

Lead all facets of the employee lifecycle strategy and implementation including hiring, recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, retention and offboarding.

Establish human capital strategies and practices that encourage and support a positive and inclusive staff culture.

Develop and drive effective communication with staff and employee engagement.

Serve and contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Supervise and support the HR team.

$127,000-158,000 annual salary

Who You Are:

Minimum of five years relevant professional experience in Human Resources leadership and management.

Strong leadership and management experience and ability; previous experience leading and developing teams and collaborating with individuals across multi-functional areas.

Proven project management skills; highly detail-oriented with excellent planning and execution ability and multi-tasking skills.

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Personal and professional commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace and ability to lead and implement inclusion and belonging practices.

Experience in crisis management, and employee relations and investigations.

Financial experience and budget-management skills.
