San Mateo Outdoor Education, a program run through the San Mateo County Office of Education, is hiring naturalists, starting August 31, 2026.

We are looking for folks with at least one year of residential outdoor education experience.

These are permanent union positions with housing available during the school year, working late August to late May each school year. Pay starts at $26.45/hr for 8 hours a day, 5 days per week, 9 months per year, plus $1,300/month towards selected medical plan, Delta Dental, and Life Insurance. Employees pay the worker contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System.
