Job Location: Escondido, San Diego County, CA

Position Details:
The San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority is seeking an enthusiastic Interpretive Ranger to support environmental education, volunteer programs, and community outreach that connect people with the Park’s natural, cultural, and historical resources.

Under the direction of the Senior Interpretive Ranger, this position assists with interpretive programs, educational activities for youth and adults, volunteer coordination, community outreach, and visitor services. Responsibilities include leading hikes, field trips, and programs; supporting volunteer recruitment and training; assisting with events and outreach; maintaining educational materials; contributing to newsletters and social media; and supporting operations at Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead.

This position involves both field and office work and includes weekends, evenings, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation:
$21–$23 per hour. Eligible employees receive health insurance, retirement benefits, standard insurance coverage, and paid leave.
