Three Oaks Outdoor Science School

Welcome to Three Oaks Outdoor Science School, the premiere science camp located in the San Bernardino National Forest! While we are all held up by this pandemic, it is our plan to hopefully be back to regular operations by September 2021. You will find the Three Oaks experience to be full of exciting adventures mixing both challenging hikes with experiential learning opportunities. The week away from home without any form of technology is life changing for our 5th and 6th graders. Our staff is well trained and committed to giving each student that once in a lifetime experience we strive for. Teachers are encouraged to participate and have fun while we take care of the teaching, supervision, medical needs, discipline and motivation - we create an environment where we hope the students and teachers bond in a way that's impossible in a classroom; building a relationship that carries back to school. We cover much of the outdoor natural science curriculum as guided by the California State Board of Ed, while utilizing many of the N.G.S.S. practices. While we are proud of our strong academic program, we also place great emphasis on character development - understanding this is a tough time for students, we hope to instill a sense of self-confidence, responsibility and accountability.
