Professional development: Making Storytelling Work For You
Workshop summary: This workshop will provide attendees with tactical and strategic methods to communicate their message to the community. The session will begin with the importance of storytelling and dive into low to no-cost tactics to spread your message. If you have an immediate need or dream of sharing your program or organization with the world, your communications know-how can get you there. Walk in as a learner and walk out with a list of things you can do to start immediately working on promoting yourself, your program, or your organization.
Presenter bio: Diana Rohini LaVigne (she/her) is an award-winning communications leader with 25+ years of experience working in environments of culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse constituencies within the health, environmental, academia, and non-profit sectors. Diana Rohini got her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and attended her master’s degree program at Hebrew University. Having lived in Africa, the Middle East, and around the United States, she loves exploring culture, communities, nature, and wildlife around the globe.
