    What You Will Do:

    As the Operations Manager, you will ensure smooth program logistics and communication with school groups, Conference coordinators, and Coastal Camp guardians. You will communicate with teachers and group coordinators as they prepare for their NatureBridge programs, and translate program logistics into itineraries and invoices efficiently and effectively. You will also collaborate with the other Operations Managers to allocate campus resources, and ensure accurate, prompt communication across campus departments.

    This full-time position takes place at our Golden Gate Campus in the Marin Headlands and cannot be performed remotely.

    Your primary job will be:

    Operations Management and Customer Service

    • Communicate regularly with teachers, school administrators, parents and trip coordinators to determine logistics and to set expectations for learning and overall outcomes for our Environmental Science, Coastal Camp and Conference programs.

    • Create weekly staff schedules for all programs, accounting for individual program needs.

    • Work directly in Salesforce and Active (CRM), preparing weekly Environmental Science, Conference, and Coastal Camp customer program communications, including due date reminders, logistics discussions, thank you emails, paperwork collection and hiking group lists. 

    • Process operations, facilities and program-specific invoices.

    • Provide Operations Team with ongoing administrative support, onboarding/offboarding personnel and maintaining current operations manuals. 

    • Prepare weekly Environmental Science, Coastal Camp and Conference meal/facility and group reports in coordination with department heads.

    • Ensure smooth program implementation by refining, developing, communicating and supporting logistics systems.

    • Support the Operations Team to maintain a comfortable and welcoming campus for all NatureBridge customers.

    • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

    Supervision and Support

    • Assist with recruiting, hiring, training and supervising Environmental Science Program Site Managers and Evening Support staff, providing ongoing support, including processing time cards and covering site support between Site Manager’s split shifts.

    • Support our Evening Support team by helping them to refine skills, pay attention to detail, designate tasks, role model positive professionalism and demonstrate effective communication skills

    • Provide support to the Education team, including collaborating with Education Managers on weekly meetings, annual hiring processes and staff training

    • Assist other departments as needed (kitchen, education programs, facilities, national office, or help with special events, etc.)


    Compensation:

    • $25/hour

    Who You Are:

    We are looking for candidates who have:

    • Relevant administrative, operations or educational experience.

    • Organized and able to balance competing logistics between programs while maintaining attention to detail.

    • Experience in a management or supervisory role; able to effectively support and train successful teams

    • Written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Able to communicate complicated logistical information to multiple groups

    • Capable of working as part of a collaborative team; maintains positive working relationships with staff and guests.

    • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace.     • Strong problem-solving skills; able to make decisions independently while meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders  

    • Demonstrated office experience, ability to manage and communicate information quickly and accurately

    • Experience with Google Suite of apps (Calendar, Gmail, Sheets and Docs) and database management or CRMs. Internet and e-mail experience required

    • Valid driver’s license
