Position details - Naturalist Apprentices provide learning experience for participant in the outdoor education program. They assist in developing class programs, enhancing curriculum, supporting facility needs, and supervising over Sky Mountain classes and special programs. Does other related work as required. There is an opportunity to live onsite in a shared dorm style cabin. Meals are provided when program is in operation. The outdoor school year runs from August through May. Guest group supports runs throughout June and July with occasional weekends throughout the school year. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handlers certification. Possess or be willing to obtain a valid wilderness first aid certification. Have experience with students in an educational or extracurricular setting. Possess a valid Class C Drivers license and maintain a good driving record. This position is temporary and hours may vary from week to week based on program needs. Typically 24 to 40 hours per week.
Compensation - $20.29 per hour
