Thriving in the Outdoors: Social and Emotional Learning in Nature

Keynote speaker: Deb Moroney, American Institutes for Research, a leading champion of youth development
 
The agenda includes a morning field experience in small groups (including a session for early childhood educators) and afternoon workshops offered on a variety of topics focused on enhancing SEL in your program. Facilitators include leaders from NatureBridge, the Student Conservation Association, Outward Bound, and BEETLES.
 
This workshop is for:
  • Program managers and directors seeking to improve organizational culture and better support staff in delivering impactful programs
  • Instructors wanting to improve their practice and learn how to develop young people’s social & emotional skills
  • Youth development professionals who are interested in using natural settings to enhance their programming
